This is because almost of caustic soda flakes in China are produced by Melten Salt Method. By using Melten Salt Method, NaOH content in caustic soda flakes can't get above 99%, it is about 98.5%. There is another method to produce caustic soda flakes, this method is Big Pot Method. By using Big Pot Method, NaOH content can get above 99%, sometime it can be about 99.5%.
